CyberGraphics established in 1991, is a multi-disciplinary, full-service design studio and digital type foundry commercially available to all studios. We understand that a Universal design solution approach, which does not address the specifics and context of each project, makes for ineffective communications.
Effective design can only be reflected through the basis of true collaboration with clients, and it is this principle that leads to project solutions that are visually distinct, a dynamic experience and enduringly memorable. These, as well as an element of surprise and insight are some of the foundational principles upon which Cyber Graphics sets its precedent.
Jan Erasmus grew up in Kroonstad, South Africa. From an early age he was interested in art and design. He studied graphic design at Johannesburg Technikon and continued his studies at Philadelphia College of Art.
He worked as a graphic designer before co-founding Johannesburg based Pinpoint Graphics. Jan launched his own graphic design studio CyberGraphics, in 1990.
Jan has won many accolades during his career including DTP Today Challenge Awards, Wiggins Teape Awards, a Golden Clio Award, John Dodds Challenge Shields, Neenah Paper Awards, a Pica Award, Loerie award, Macmanus Awards, Art of Design - First paper House Awards, CMYK Magazine Award and a MacTalk Magazine award.
Jan is one of South Africa’s foremost communication designers and educators. It therefore comes as no surprise then that a book written by him about his viewpoints on communication design, accompanied by select pieces from his life’s work is in itself a communication masterpiece. It is eloquently written and easy to read. The content is compelling and it is beautifully produced. Available here.

Ché was born in same litter as Tintin, is a Lilac Burmese and part of the studio rodent control team. A real extravert and lives up to his name. Always looking for something dangerous to do and loves minamalist music like Philip Glass. Favorite piece is Nora solo with the Mexican symphony orchistra. He is no longer with us since 19.1.2017 due to tragic car accident.
Tintin was born in same litter as Ché, is a Blue Burmese and part of the studio rodent control team. A real introvert. Always thinking about the meaning of life and help to pick dry leaves off plants after winter. Knows everything about his teritory and is my in-house nightgaurd while Ché does Zebra St.
